Challenges & Objectives
Current fire extinguishers can be challenging to use for many users because of its size and weight, and it requires two hand operation. Objective of redesigning fire extinguisher is to enhance the user experience and the results by making it easy to operate with one hand and portable.

Types of fire extinguishers
There are several types of fire extinguishers and are color coded. Using a right type of extinguisher would prevent a potential endangerment.

Building Study Model
To make a 1:1 scale model, I started with several orthgraphic sketches and then used them as a guide to make a study model from a block of blue foam. The challenging part about making this study model was carving it out of a block of bluefoam as a single piece. If I have made a canister separately from the canister holder, it would have been simpler process and its form would have been more precise. However, overall it turned out fine for further study of a physical form.

Building 3D model in Solidworks
Orthographic sketches were inserted into Solidworks and then were used as guide to construct the FireGrip. Canister was building first and followed by canister holder body, the grip and then other surface design treatment.
The Keyshot was used for rendering. Graphics and icons were created in Illustrator and then imported into Keyshot, such as guage and canister graphics. Then final touch and adjustments were made using Photoshop.
