Challenge/Objective

Over 100 dogs die from heat exhaustion each year. Most often owners are unaware of dog's condition especially when they are hiking or running with them.

Define Problem & Investigation

Dogs do not sweat through their skin like humans. Dogs release heat by panting and sweat through nose and foot pads. Dog's normal temperature arrange from 99.5 to 102 fahrenheit degree. Exhautions arrange from 105 to 106 F, and dangerous zone is at 107 degree.

Possible Solutions

Dog heart rate monitor that monitors body temperature and heart rate, and communicates with owner through alert sounds and mobile devices.
